SETTLEMENT DISCOUNT OFFER TO ALL CONSUMERS.

As part of revenue enhancement efforts, Madibeng Local Municipality will be introducing customer accounts payment incentive scheme in the first half of the financial year 2018/2019. Consumers whose accounts will be up to date and fully paid by 30 June 2018 will receive 15% discount on their July 2018 municipal account. Other consumers wishing to settle their municipal accounts will also be granted 50% settlement discount on municipal account balance as at 30 June 2018. The incentive scheme will run from 01 July 2018 up until 31 December 2018. To qualify for the incentive consumers should complete a prescribed application form available at the Credit control offices between 07H30-16H00 on working days or request the form through contacts listed below. Consumers may also download the form from the municipal website,www.madibeng.gov.za. Consumers will be allowed one application per account and any amount to be incurred after settlement or entering into a settlement agreement does not qualify and must be paid for, otherwise credit control and debt collection measures will be applied. WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION BRITS-MADIBENG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY HEREBY GIVES NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION AT ALL AREAS RECEIVING THE SERVICE FROM THE BRITS WATER WARE TREATMENT PLANT ON THE 04TH OCTOBER 2017.

Madibeng Local Municipality hereby gives notice  of water supply interruption is due to maintenance works to be carried out at the plant.The contractors for the upgrade works at the Brits Water Treatment Plant will be re-routing the 600mm diameter steel pipe on pumping line from the plant to the reservoirs. The Municipality appeals to all consumers to take heed of the prevailing situation and utilize water very sparingly and store it.

During this period, watering gardens and washing cars and pathways using hose pipes is strictly prohibited. Water tankers have been arranged to distribute potable water in affected areas.

The interruption is expected to last for a period of 24 hours.

The Municipality would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that might be caused as a result of the interruption.
